Sorry for hijacking Cassie's blog but I wanted to let everyone know what Cass has been doing lately but doesn't talk about.
First off she's been sweet enough to join me in getting certified for SCUBA diving! Last weekend we made our final training dives in a place around here called the Homestead Crater. It's a natural made crater filled halfway with 96 degree water so it's like a hot tub but nothing lives in there.
It looks amazing in pictures... but it's not that exciting in person.

The next thing Cass decided to do was to go out and run a 10k. She's been talking about it for awhile so it wasn't all that surprising when she scheduled one with some friends.

Here she is just about to cross the finish line. She did amazing for her first race ever! She beat 150 other racers!

Cassie and her friends... they seemed pretty energized after they were done. They even started talking about doing a half marathon next year!

The numbers. They were pretty excited to be done with it but still wanted momentos of their race. They had a lot to be proud of.

After the race. I showed up at the end with the boys to cheer her to the finish line. The boys kept asking why mommy was running with all these girls. I had to explain over and over that mommy was running a race. My favorite comment of the day came from Cam, "Mommy just ran wicked far!" I guess the boys really do hear and repeat everything we say...
Nice job Cass!
(just don't ask me to join you next time, I hate running...)
