State Fair...
Against everything that I was taught....we went to the state fair this weekend. My family has a serious hatred for the fair but I thought we should take Cam any way so he could experience it. Since I don't live in Wisconsin any more I can't tell Leca's kids all about it and then have them beg her to go and then I say..."oh I'll take them" (making me the best Aunt ever!). Although Leca did let them go they had to go through a list of things to do, people not to talk to, etc. One year she had prepped them and Breckyn pipes up in the middle of a large group of people..."these people don't look freaky and crazy like my mom said!" Yeah, it was really embarrassing! Anyways, this year we went with our friends Ian and Buffy and their two little girls. It was lots of fun!
Little man riding the pony's
He was "helping" on the farm
Riley and Cam
We bought wristbands so Buffy and I had to get our money's worth on the big kid rides (both the husbands don't do fair rides...they say the rides weren't there last week so how can they be safe now???)
After quite a few rides Buffy and I realized that we might be a little old for all the spinning upside down rides (we are right above the letters sp in the picture) :(
Cam and Riley giving their CHEESE faces!

This is their beautiful new little girl Peyton (she slept the whole time we were there!!!)
The mischievous little man
Buffy and I say every time how much our husbands look alike (they even dressed the same)
Ian and Chris

Fairs are fun, especially for kids! (BIG KIDS ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN ALSO!) :)

I'm with Chris.... the rides weren't there last week- why risk it?
I love the little apron picture with Cam and the apple - so CUTE! Looks like a fun day though. You didn't post pictures of all the fun fair food. I remember the yummy Wisconsin fair food. YUM!

Looks like fun! I can totally see you in the upside down ride picture when i click on it! That's so funny with your hair straight up (or is it down?) and you mouth wide open!

Looks like you guys had lots of fun. I'm in next time! That's pretty funny that the tough men are pansies when it comes to the rides.

I HATE the fair!!!! Plus, in my defense the people are crazy and the rides are death traps.... other than that-- a lot of fun. Glad to see the little man got his experience anyway. I hope you fed him some good fair food.... yum!

I'm not sure you went to the fair for CAM.. by the looks of the pictures, Cam's mommy had the most fun ;)

You haven't been to a fair until you've been to the Minnesota State Fair. Best one there is. I hear the one here in AZ is scary. Not even a cop in our ward will go to it. I'm determined to give it a shot though when it opens (not till next month).

Cam with the apple is enough to melt my heart! OK! a fair is barable if it is with someone like that. I miss you all a ton and we will see you soon!
Love,
Mom

What do you mean, your fam has a hatred of fairs?!!?? After growing up in Walworth County???!! Come on! Glad you overcame it! Will and Kaleb think your riding abilities are the BEST! You and Ted will have to go together next year :)
