Update...
Chris wanted me to post this to show it's not just daddy's that fall asleep with their kids...Oops busted!
As his little shirt states this is "mommy's little monkey." Cam has Gweeno and I have Cooper...hey it's works!
Cam was all ready to watch the USC game with daddy (and especially to eat treats in the family room)
Chris and my dad built Cam a really cool train track before I had Cooper. Well it's gotten a little dirty so we thought it would be cool to paint it and maybe add a few buildings or something. Well...I think we got a little carried away but here it is almost finished...
We stripped all the track off and started from scratch
A quick base coat and paint the track
Then to work on the layout and buildings
I had to make sure the boys were a part of the whole thing too so here are their little hand prints included in their own railroad logo
Thomas the Train buildings are WAY to expensive for us so we went to Michaels and bought some bird houses. Chris cut the wholes and I painted them. One is a log cabin and the other is a little barn with a fence and animals. You can see a little of the lake (the lake was a special request from Cam) And yes that is grass and beach sand too. Chris had some from his model train days that I used.
So here it is almost finished. The barn tunnel, cranky the crain, the airport and hanger, the road and parking lot, the stop and go light, the lake, and the log cabin. I hope that's enough to keep his interest!

Holy sweeeeet train tracks! You did a great job. I love the lake. I bet a lot of things will "drown" in there. I especially like the logo. Nice work!

As soon as Chris gets up and feed Coop all night, he can have an excuse to fall asleep with the baby too!!! It's a sweet picture.
Nice work Crafty McCrafterson! The table looks great and I'm sure that if be some unlikely reason it doesn't keep Cam enthralled, Chris will still be playing with it for hours :) Love the logo.
I'm sorry, did you say it had a "stop and go light"... OH GOOD. Cuz I was wonderin. Does it by any chance have any billy goats too? ;)
AWESOME. AWESOME train track. I bet I could paint one just like that. Right after I finish baking my sugar cookies. ya right.
Super cute!!! It looks great! I've always wanted to do that! I love little villages, little houses and parking lots. I love the logo! He will have a blast with that!
just don't put any ducks in that lake...that may not make for a fun playtime. but you are so freakin talented and creative. I am sure that train track will bring lots of fun for years and years to come.
